Good news! Our first US patent for the key innovations behind the Potty Sniffer system has been approved by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Patent No. 12,042,104 Toilet Venting was issued July 23, 2024 after a two-year publication and review process. Additional international PTC patent filings are also currently in process to extend the intellectual property protection for the Potty Sniffer system to key international markets. We are hopeful that having passed examination under the scrutiny of the USPTO that we will be able to do the same for the other countries where we hope to be able to extend our product reach in the coming years.
On a related note, we have a second PTC patent filing in process for additional innovations related to the Potty Sniffer system architecture that we will be pursuing for applications in the commercial building space. We are hoping that this will reach the ‘publication’ step of the PTC process in the next few months.
